EmptyPage Chapbook

When people break into your home while you are gone and steal things leaves a horrible feeling inside. Your personal space has been violated. In the house behind they came in with guns, and a month before it was next door.

The burglary was caught on surveillance video and the perps were two guys who had been in the house a few days before  to clean the heater ducts. They had been hired to do the job because of a discount ad in the  weekly “value pak” envelope  which moved my friends to call them,  and hire them, and  so they came to their house. And then came again.

From the legal point of view they treat stealing as a crime measured by the value of the material objects stolen, but from the victim’s  point of view its far more emotional devastating, but that part is not considered  the crime.
